IRON INDIAN RIDERS ASSOCIATION OF MICHIGAN Meeting Minutes March 24, 2007 Present: 12 present Next meeting: To Be Announced Announcements Welcome to all who showed interest in starting IIRA of Michigan. This is a family oriented organization. Embraces and is open to riders of all makes of bikes. Discussion Bo opened meeting with a brief background of the Indian Motorcycle Company and the Iron Indian Riders Association. There needs to be 5 key positions - President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, Sergeant-At-Arms, and Ride Chief. The positions were appointed as follows: Bo - President; Uplander - Vice President; Linda Williams - Secretary/Treasurer; Bryan Graham - Ride Chief; Mike Williams - Sergeant At Arms. It was agreed that after 6 months elections for officers would take place. Webmaster - Bo volunteered to continue to be webmaster. Funding - There could be two different funds; a general fund to pay for refreshments, etc. and a special fund which could be used for charitable events, etc. Non-Profit Organization - We want to file as a new group not be a pickup of an older group. Cindy said she will contact someone in Lansing about getting the proper papers. Need to have a least 2 trustees for the association - Mike and Linda Williams and Bryan Graham were appointed as trustees. Roundtable Bryan will get a list of rides together with input from members and submit them to the council for approval. A question of funding. Does the $45 fee paid to the national association come back to the local group? The answer was no. 3. Meeting was adjourned at 5:00pm with the urge to talk up the group to fellow riders.
