Message from the Michigan Chapter President.

Brothers of the Iron Indian Riders Association. I am proud to share in the experience and traditions of this Class A riders group. As the president of the Michigan chapter IIRA and representing the greater vision of our nationwide organization, I am committed to building a chapter that will reflect the association's values and goals of its members. I am one of four sons of a life long Indian Motorcycle enthusiast. My Dad came out of World War II riding an Indian Chief. After 1953, he began buying up Indian motorcycles and parts from all over the country. As a small child and until his death, Indian motorcycles dominated our lives. At the time of his death, he had one of the largest collections of Indian motorcycles and parts in the nation. He was one of the original charter members of the old Indian four and the All American Indian motorcycle clubs and remained a trustee until his death in 1971. Steve McQueen, the actor, bought large portions of dad's collection of bikes and parts for his museum in California. Raised around Indian motorcycles as children and well into our teens, and then proud owners of a 1941 Indian Scout, 1953 Chief and 1941 Four cylinder bikes after dad's death, we continued to enjoy the Indian experience. I am a proud owner of a 2003 Indian Vintage Chief. I look forward to serving our riding brothers and representing the IIRA here in the State of Michigan. (734) 646-2246. "WE RIDE FOR THE THRILL" !
